Whilst done-for-you posts are a great timesaver, it’s important to show up authentically, as YOU in your marketing.

Here are ten quick ideas for you to try when creating marketing content as an aesthetic practitioner.

  1. B-roll

Take some video footage using your phone of your clinic, show your followers ‘behind the scenes.’ Take short clips from different angles and use them in a reel with some trending music and overlay it with a voice over/caption

    • 5 things I do to keep your face safe - sterile field, hand washing, gloves, single use products, training

    • How to find us - film your journey to work, highlight parking, transport etc.

    • Do a <insert treatment> with me - film a treatment, voice over and text overlay.

  2. My Top 3…

Create carousels of your top three treatments for specific issues such as acne, hyperpigmentation, dry skin, large pores, oiliness, finalises, dullness, stretch marks, scars etc.

  3. Myth busting

You know the misconceptions, tell people why they’re wrong! Look fake, expensive, painful, once you start, you can’t stop, downtime is too. This can be in carousels, reels, videos, stories.

  4. AMA - Ask Me Anything

Invite your followers to ask questions on your stories using the ‘Question’ feature. You can add questions yourself. Share the question and a video response in a reel. Share to your stories and save in a FAQ highlight.

  5. Before and after photos/reels

It’s a no-brainer. This is the one thing your followers REALLY want to see! Don’t be shy about showing off your work! Mix up carousels, single photos and video before and afters. Remember to ensure that the lighting and angles are consistent.

  6. Thank - Share - Ask

Share your reviews. Regularly. To your grid and then to your stories. Save these in a dedicated highlight.

And whilst you do so, thank those who have reviewed and give those who haven’t yet a gentle nudge.

  7. Share it

Share your own skincare routine, tell people what treatments you have, film your own appointment! Share the ups and downs, pros and cons.

  8. Problem / Solution

You know the common concerns your clients present with in clinic. Summarise the problem and present the solution. Verbally, visually, in photos or videos.

  9. Theme it

Use themes/occasions to talk about treatments. Best treatments for brides, tired mums, young women, menopausal ladies, winter skin, summer skin, between seasons skin, holiday prep, etc.

  10. The Patient Journey

Create posts about the patient journey - from research to booking in, what to expect in the waiting room through to follow up. Take out all of the uncertainty, which increases trust and reduces nerves!
